TOPYSの「DESIGN FOR YOU」プロジェクトの一環である“ICON BAG”は、世界の優れたクリエイターの作品をトートバッグを媒体として「出版」することで、彼らを中国の人々に紹介し、良いデザインが人々の日常生活にインスピレーションを与えることを目的としています。第2回となる本企画では、興味深いアイデアと独特のスタイルを持つ7人のグローバルデザイナー、アーティスト、イラストレーター、クリエイターを招き、トートバッグシリーズを制作してもらいました。ここでは“Decode My Icon”をコンセプトに、クリエイターとしての自分自身やクリエイティブな言語を表現する全く新しいデザインを創作し、あるいは、既に発表された代表的なグラフィックや要素をICON BAGに落とし込みました。
As part of TOPYS’s 「DESIGN FOR YOU」 project, ICON BAG is aimed at promoting extraordinary global creators to a broader audience in China, using tote bag as the medium to “publish” their works, and to let good design inspire people’s daily life. For Vol.2, we invited seven global designers, artists, illustrators and creatives with interesting ideas and distinctive style to create a series of tote bags. Taking "Decode My Icon" as the concept, designers either created a completely new design that best presents themselves as creators and their creative language or used or changed a published representative graphic/element for the ICON BAG design.
